Design, deployment, monitoring and operational maintenance of geophysical measurement stations for environmental monitoring.
IT Link teams have been developing tools for several years to manage a group of seismic and infrasound sensors that meet R&D, compliance monitoring and surveillance needs on a global scale.
The R&D tool is used to define, test and validate – both in the laboratory and on test benches – the procedures to establish the conformity of the different sensors.
The procedures developed can be fed back into the sensor compliance management tool. This tool ensures the execution and traceability of the checks, with the aim of minimizing human error. It is modular, which means that it can define sequences of operations, from the operator’s set point to the control of complex measuring equipment.
In the field, operators can use a tool to connect to the various sensors to update their configuration, check the signals acquired and launch acquisition quality control tasks.
Finally, a web-based tool deployed in the various devices allows local maintenance operations to be carried out and ensure the proper functioning of the system by means of probes and performance indicators. This tool is also deployed on the sensors’ central monitoring site, which displays the probes and indicators of all the devices. The modular solution can be deployed at device, site or monitoring center level.
